DummyForms is a no-code form builder that combines a drag-and-drop editor with AI-powered form generation, letting users describe the form they want in plain language and refine the result visually. It was built with Lovable by a Canadian Armed Forces infanteer — profiled on the Lovable blog as part of a series of apps he shipped in record time — and earned a top-3 placement in Lovable's Christmas Hackathon.

What It Does

DummyForms targets the gap between rigid template-based form tools and full-blown developer-driven form stacks. Users can either drag fields onto a canvas or prompt the AI to generate an initial form layout from a description, then tweak validation, styling, and logic visually. Forms can be published and shared without writing code, making it especially useful for solo operators and small teams that need branded data collection quickly.

How It Was Built

The product was built end-to-end with Lovable as part of an intense personal sprint where the founder, profiled as a "Canadian Infanteer" on the Lovable blog, shipped roughly ten apps in a short window. DummyForms was the standout — strong enough to land in the top three of Lovable's Christmas Hackathon out of a competitive field of community submissions.
