AI-powered trend discovery tool that surfaces breaking content and viral topics for creators and marketers — built in four days, hit $10K MRR in its first month.
Overview
TrendFeed is an AI content discovery platform that helps creators, marketers, and social media managers find trending topics and viral content before they peak. Founder Sebastian Volkis (@sebastianvolkis) built the initial product in four days using Cursor and grew it to roughly $10K MRR within the first month of launch — a trajectory he documented publicly on X and in an Indie Hackers writeup.
What It Does
TrendFeed continuously aggregates content across the social and creator ecosystem, ranks emerging trends, and presents them in a feed-like dashboard so users can quickly spot what's gaining traction. The goal is to compress hours of manual scrolling and trend-hunting into a single curated view, giving creators a head start on producing content while a topic is still on the rise.
How It Was Built
Sebastian built TrendFeed with Cursor on a Next.js + ShadCN UI + Supabase stack. He has been transparent that the four-day MVP was largely AI-assisted: Cursor generated most of the React components, Supabase wiring, and ranking logic, with him acting as the product lead and editor. The first paying users came in within days of launch, validating both the niche and the speed-of-execution thesis behind vibe coding.
